The H2MARINE project held its kick-off meeting in Thessaloniki on January 2-3, 2024. The event commenced with a welcome from Dr. Kyriakos Panopoulos of CERTH, followed by an overview of the project’s objectives, key performance indicators, and milestones. Partners introduced their organizations and roles, and Dr. Spyridon Voutetakis from CERTH/CPERI highlighted the upcoming Sustainable Shipping Days in Lucerne.
The first day’s agenda covered WP1, focusing on project management, deadlines, and reporting procedures. WP2 discussed specifications and test protocols, particularly fuel types and equipment considerations. WP3 delved into diagnostics for maritime fuel cell stacks, including sensor selection and post-mortem analysis.
The second day began with WP4’s focus on stack development, followed by WP5’s high power density fuel cell stack development. WP6 outlined the multi-stack concept, while WP7 covered dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities. Key discussions centered around technical choices, KPI targets, and CAPEX considerations. The meeting concluded with defining action points and next steps, ensuring a clear path forward for the project.
